چکیده
Aim: Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) is the preferred method for long-term enteral feeding of patients who cannot be fed orally various reasons and have a functioning gastrointestinal system. In this study, we aimed to present discuss demographic characteristics, indications, early late complications implanted with PEG in our center.
Material Method: retrospectively evaluated age, gender, chronic diseases, indication PEG, during procedure, arising from patient follow-up, survival times 84 underwent between January 2016 2020 electronic medical file system.
Results: Of enrolled 59.5% (n=50) were male 40.5% (n=34) female. The mean age was 61.35±19.52 years. success rate 97.6%. requests 58.6% intensive care units. most common indications insertion cerebrovascular accident (CVA), nervous system disease, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Complications related observed 11 patients. All mild, no severe observed. While one developed period ( 30 days). No deaths causes procedure been observed.
Conclusion: inadequate oral intake, safe appropriate option continuous because its low complication mortality rates.

Long-term Follow-up Results of Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy.
BACKGROUND Open lumbar microdiscectomy (OLM) has been considered the gold standard in the management of lumbar disc herniation (LDH) for its favorable outcomes in long-term follow-up. Nowadays, percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD) is gaining recognition. However, greatest limitation of studies of PELD is the lack of long-term follow-up outcomes. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy was done for feeding purposes in 3 patients with inoperable carcinoma of oesophagus and oropharynx. Procedure was tolerated well by all with no complications. All the patients were able to maintain their weight till death. The procedure is safe and cost effective for enteral feeding in patients with dysphagia (JPMA 38: 179, 1988).
